Non-History, Non-Education Aside: Book Recommendation

April 25, 2007

Here’s a book for those concerned about the benefits of global free trade: Global Trade and Conflicting National Interests by Ralph Gomory and William Baumol (MIT Press, 2001). The primary author, Gomory, was formerly an IBM executive who firmly believed in the benefits of global free trade and eschewed protectionism.

Teaser: The U.S. is not guaranteed or destined to win the free trade game.

FYI: I found the book review here. The fact that the book was published six years ago confirms the arguments about the state of book reviewing made here by Scott McLemee. – TL
