Teaching The Collegiate History Survey

I stumbled across a great site yesterday dedicated to rethinking the collegiate history survey course. Constructed by Augustana College’s Professor Lendol Calder, the site challenges instructors to move beyond the “coverage” model of the survey. Clearly inspired by Sam Wineburg and his cohort, Calder asks instructors to reevaluate traditional models of teaching the survey. Check it out. – TL
