Feed-Back

February 5, 2007

Does anyone subscribe to this site through its atom.xml feed? Do I need to adjust the site’s feed options? Can I make this outfit more user friendly? Let me know and I’ll do what I can. I don’t subscribe to other sites so I’m unfamiliar with various feed options. – TL

I do. I notice that sometimes it randomly resets everything to appear as though I haven't read it – don't know if that's the feed or my reader though.

All in all it seems great to me. I like that the feed contains the full article – so I can come to the site if I want, but it isn't necessary.

  2. Alexis: Thanks for the comment. Hmm… I'll check into the random reset, but that may have more to do with ~me~ than your reader or feeder. During the day I sometimes tinker with each piece, correcting spelling and sentence structure errors missed earlier. Perhaps the feed picks up the link anew because of my republishing? Anyway, I'm glad there aren't other problems. – TL

  3. Hello. I subscribe to your feed also, using Newsgator Online and FeedDemon (Newsgator's client software). The feed has always worked well for me; I'm glad you make the full article available also.

Whether or not updated posts show as new is a configuration option in some readers, like Bloglines. Not sure about FeedDemon or Newsgator; if it's an option, I can't find it. But I think you're right; readers typically pick up updated feeds as new … at least that's what seems to happen.

Nice place you got here; stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago and really enjoy reading. After a while, I might even catch up to you…. or not…. heh!
